Gandhi Day Walkathon & India Festival 2026

The goal of our Annual Gandhi Day event is to promote Mahatma Gandhi’s message of peace, non-violence and unity. At the same time, it is an opportunity to serve the local community: Every year, the proceeds are donated to a local charity. 

This year we are celebrating the 20th Gandhi Day event and all proceeds this year will be donated to Casa for Kids Morgantown and Marion county.

Entry is $5. Kids under 12 are free. Tickets can be purchased using the PayPal link on the page. Additional donations are welcome.

Over the last 19 years, we have raised ~$67,000 towards charities in the greater Morgantown area. The proceeds from this event have been donated to several local charities including Star City Volunteer Fire Department, Operations Welcome Home, Rosenbaum House, American Red Cross, WVU Medicine Children's hospital, Milan Puskar Health Right Clinic, Eye foundation of America, Habitat for Humanity, Stepping stones, Shack neighborhood House, Scott settlement House, Morgantown Soup Kitchen and Ronald McDonald House.
